She is the daughter of interior designer Janet Robb and architect David Robb, and she is of English, Scottish, Irish, Swedish, and Danish descent. Robb was raised in a devout Christian household, and she was home-schooled during her youth. She became interested in acting at an early age and began performing onstage at the church her family attended. For more than four years, AnnaSophia took part in gymnastics and dance competitions, but she quit to spend more time focusing on acting. Robb graduated from Arapahoe High School in 2012, then she earned a degree from New York University in 2018.

AnnaSophia was discovered by an agent at the age of 8, and her mother subsequently drove her to Los Angeles. Robb first appeared on television in a national ad for Bratz dolls, and she also starred in a McDonald's commercial.
