How to reset Okta security questions? ›

If this is the security question for multi-factor authentication, within the user profile in OKTA, there is a "Reset Multifactor" button next to "More actions" drown down.

Like most websites, applications, and software across the Internet, Okta collects certain Personal Data. This type of data collection allows us to better understand how individuals use our websites, products and services and how they perform.

The Default Catch-All rule in most scenarios will allow access if primary authentication (such as a password or access to an email inbox) is satisfied. This is the default setting to avoid locking legitimate admins/users out while the org is being configured.

If you forgot both your security question answers, there are two things you can do. If you have a computer that you have chosen to “Remember computer” on, you can log in on that computer and reset your security questions.

Unlock your Okta account via Email

Students can create / update their security questions from their OneLogin Portal. Click on your initials / avatar in the top right corner of your portal and select Profile. In your profile, select Security factors. Click Add Factor to create your security questions.

You can change your security questions at any time. In Windows 10, open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options and click the Update your security questions link. Enter the password for your local account, choose your security questions, type the answers, and click Finish.
